COFACE logoCoface was founded in 1946 as a specialized export credit insurance company, managing its own products and state guarantees for French exports. In 1992 the international expansion started. Now Coface Holding offers its 120,000 customers four product lines to fully or partly outsource trade relationship management and to finance and protect their receivables: credit insurance, factoring, ratings and company information and receivables management. Abroad, Coface Holding is present through Coface’s network of specialized brokers and local partners within the Credit Alliance Network. Thanks to the worldwide local service delivered by 7,000 staff in 65 countries, over 45% of the world's 500 largest corporate groups are already customers of Coface.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia - CCIS


CCIS logoWith over 150 years of tradition, and by far the largest number of members, the CCIS is the most influential business association in Slovenia. The country’s new Chambers of Commerce Act, adopted in late 2006, introduced voluntary membership of the CCIS, and provides a free market with all the opportunities and challenges that such entails.
The CCIS is offering the collective wisdom and rich experience of more than 100 experts and specialists, uniting commerce, industry, tourism and service sectors in Slovenia.

As a member of Eurochambers and the ICC, as well as other international associations and organizations, the CCIS is part of an extensive international network with innumerable contacts. It has references and experience in the realization of EuropeAid programs such as Asia Invest, AL Invest, Gateway to Japan, …

The CCIS offers a whole range of activities also to foreign companies can be fully tailored to their exact needs and requirements.

According to a company's requirements and business interests, the CCIS can find suitable partners both in Slovenia and in the countries of Southeast Europe, as well as organize meetings with them. The Chamber can organize a business conference, presentation, discussions with potential business partners, as well as other events tailored to a company's needs to allow it to introduce itself to a target public in Slovenia. Sponsorship packages are available for the full range of Chamber events and represent an exceptionally cost-effective way to reach a wide audience.

The CCIS provides all necessary support with an application for a joint development project, and can identify partners for its implementation. In addition, it can also prepare as well as manage projects for a company or group – from the development of new markets, export strategy, market analyses, to the formation of consortia and development of international partnerships. Through its excellent knowledge of Slovene R&D policy, active support to 22 technological platforms and ‘innovative clusters’, it has comprehensive insight into the entire R&D sector in Slovenia - from institutions to enterprises.

The CCIS can assist a company from abroad in any search by providing data and information on the economic situation in Slovenia; legal and contractual information that govern international activities in Slovenia; information on fairs in Slovenia; useful addresses in Slovenia; credit report information on Slovene companies; seeking out and selecting potential customers and suppliers: information on Slovene buyers, distributors, wholesalers and on international traders, broken down by product sector or special customized data search.

There are many other services available to companies from abroad. They can register and search for trade inquiries on BORZA, a special inquiry database (www.borza.org), where one can find Slovene or international business partners. Such inquiries are also published in the Chamber’s magazine and through other media. Promotion of products or services and increase through advertising in Chamber publications and web pages is also available.

In addition to using various services and products offered by the CCIS, foreign companies interested in realizing the commercial potentials that Slovenia has to offer may also opt for full membership, which affords additional benefits, including the provision of a number of services free of charge, while others are offered at a discount. At the same time CCIS membership also provides access to the Verified Members Club and a forum in which foreign businessmen exchange valuable information and experience with one other.
