Some terms which are common on this site, might be new or differently interpreted. We recommend to read this glossary to avoid any misunderstandings.

 

Company On Net™ system

Company On Net™ system contains three basic elements - the seal on the commercial website, the certificate and the verified page. With this innovative approach Company On Net™ can verify the identity of companies on the Internet.

 

Company On Net™ certificate

Company On Net™ certificates are eCard, Basic, Gold and Platinum. Although all have different prices the verification process is the same. The main difference is that the eCard is only for companies without commercial websites and that Gold and Platinum offer also financial or credit report. Basic, Gold and Platinum all have full verification system for companies with websites.

 

Verified page and domain

Verified domains are domains company-name.abbreviation-on.net; example: company.ltd-on.net. On this domain stands the verified page which shows the verified information about the company, their logo, their commercial websites, contact form, instructions for visitors and of course a logo of the verifier.

 

Commercial website and domain

Commercial websites and domains (.com, .net, .org, etc.) which the company can own.

 

Seal

A seal stands on the website and it shows that the company behind it is verified. For full and safe verification the visitor must click on the seal. After this a certificate is shown.

 

Certificate

A confirmation for the identity of the company with the basic information about the company. It loads when a visitor clicks on the seal and it stands on the domain https://check.company-on.net/. It enables the "2 clicks for your safety" system with the two links, back to commercial website and forward to verified page.

 

Base domain

Base domains are all abbreviation-on.net domains; example: llc-on.net, ltd-on.net, gmbh-on.net, etc. Subdomains of base domains are verified domains.

 

3rd party external certificates

Third party external certificates can be standards, awards, diplomas, etc. As most of these are now only pictures on the Internet, Company On Net can verify these certificates and give them back the marketing value they deserve.

 

Contact form

Contact form stands on the verified page and is under SSL so visitors can safely contact the company.

 

Verifier

Verifier is the local authority, most common a chamber of commerce or Coface, the credit company.

 

Seller

Seller is a company which sells certificates for it´s supplier. It has no stock of certificates and usually sells Company On Net™ certificates as a complementary to their product range.

 

Supplier

Supplier invests in Company On Net™ and buys a stock of certificates. It has it´s own sellers and customers and usually Company On Net™ has an important role in their product range.
